Less crowded than Torres del Paine and, for many, just as beautiful. It crosses mountain passes and lenga beech forests and ends at Laguna Cerro Castillo, a green mirror at the foot of a 2,675-meter massif. You can do the full route in four days or hike only up to the lake, about eight hours round trip; the full traverse always requires a certified guide, while the lake hike requires one only in winter: in season you can go on your own with a day pass. It’s worth confirming the rules before you go.
